What Has Democracy Achieved?

Although in principle democracy is a great idea, in practice it is riddled with corruption, obscurantism, lies and deceit.

Whether one looks at countries with voluntary or compulsory voting, the use of modern media including print, radio, television and internet, leads to misinformation and misdirection of the electorate.

It is nearly impossible to find unbiased media, especially now that the left has overwhelmed our education systems (and this is not country specific). We are barraged with spurious information and science about alleged global warming, LGBTQ (xyz etc), gender-bending absurdities and so on almost ad infinitum.

Add to this gerrymandering and the demanding of parliamentary quotas for minorities, including women (who are actually the majority in the population, and who could overwhelmingly elect females if there were sufficient good candidates).

It has given us, by way of the above abuses, a generation which accepts promiscuity, extra-marital pregnancies and births, abortion as a contraceptive and all manner of sexual activities which would have properly been illegal 70 years ago. Single parent families are now a norm.

It has given us a welfare mentality and life on welfare is now multi-generational, with decreasing desire of its victims to escape. We have a pliable mass of voters who can be bribed with notional increases in payments which may or may not materialise.

Social  (previously venereal) diseases are rampant. Pregnancies are delayed through feminist and financial pressures, adding to infertility caused by certain diseases of the female genital tract. The unnatural, and largely unnecessary resort to IVF with wastage of fertilised ova is extraordinarily prevalent.

Christianity, once the bedrock of society, is mocked and derided. This is aided and abetted by Western governments and media, which tend to fawn over Islam and its unsavoury tenets, especially mistreatment of women and incitement to hatred of Christians and westerners in general.

Russia, which is home to a resurgent and vital Orthodox Christianity, is derided as if it were still the Soviet Union. Yet many of us consider it the greatest, and perhaps only, hope for the future of civilisation as the west falls further and further into pagan depravity.

China, which persecutes all religions, but especially Christianity, dominates most of the world militarily, economically and financially. It’s involvement with the coronavirus pandemic, whether deliberate or opportunistic, is nefarious.
